Unified provided paint carriers to Dearborn Mid-West Conveyor for the DCX St. Louis “DS” Program.  These carriers are over 20 feet in length and are designed to carry the cab and box, as a unit, on each carrier.  Fabrication of these carriers was carried out under stringent inspection and testing methods such as magnetic particle inspection of welds to detect cracks and ultrasonic inspection for soundness and penetration.  CMM certification of fixtures was used to place all perch locations assuring accurate and consistent assembly of these carriers.

The best just got better!

ETA-8, The shape that started the aluminum rail revolution in the material handling industry has been improved by incorporating a weld-less splice and new larger contact area on the bottom flange.

These new improvements, aid installation, offer an improved drive unit contact area and yield improved deflection ratios.

After rigorous testing to assure strength and durability, this shape will be available in May 2007 and will replace the current ETA-8.  This shape will also ensure field compatibility with the previous shape where needed.
